The most common cause of the infection comes from the damage caused to nail or skin. The bad thing is that it can be as least as a small cut, bad stubbing or ingrown nail. In this case, the precaution can be very difficult so it is recommended to take well care of your feet.
Bad hygiene of the feet can also lead to such infections. It is recommended to never reuse old moist socks, bedding, or shoes. On the other hand, if you are suffering from diabetes then you have a higher chances of catching up with foot infant and Nail infections as there is less flow of blood. So be extra careful!
Nail infections like Onychia and Paronychia are easier to treat the more earlier they are diagnosed. So be on the lookout for any kind of symptoms like Inflammation, Abscesses causing in the nail and near the nail bed, pain from feet and nails.
